About this product
Match the symbology to your scanner
Code 128 is the usual choice for internal asset numbers because it packs letters and digits densely. Code 39 is older and widely supported by legacy scanners. EAN-13 is a retail product code, so use it only if you really hold GS1 numbers. QR and Data Matrix read from a phone camera or an imager and hold more data.
Numbering approaches
Sequential numbering is the simplest. Prefix and number, such as HQ-00045, lets you identify site or department at a glance. Uploading an Excel list gives full control when your register already contains numbers.
Material for the setting
Aluminium and silver polyester are good for equipment. White polyester works well for offices. Tamper-evident vinyl is a fit where you want to know if a tag has been peeled.
Quality check
Every barcode is scanned before packing. Please tell us the make of your scanner if it has quirks with quiet zones or narrow bars.
