Card stock sets the first impression

People judge a card by how it feels before they read it. 300gsm is a solid everyday weight, 350gsm feels noticeably firmer, kraft gives an earthy, handmade look and textured paper suits designers, boutiques and hospitality brands.

Lamination and sides

Matt lamination is calm and glare-free, gloss makes colours pop, and soft-touch has a velvety surface that people tend to hold on to. Skip lamination if you plan to write on the card with a pen, since a laminated surface resists ink. Double-sided cards give you space for services, a map or a QR code to your WhatsApp or website.

Layout basics

Keep text at least 3 mm inside the trim, use 8 pt or larger for phone numbers, and supply logos as vector files. Rounded corners suit friendly brands and add a small cost in cutting time, but they help cards survive wallets.

Standard size is 90 x 55 mm; check your artwork against that before uploading.
