Terms of sale

Last updated [CONFIRM]

[CONFIRM with your lawyer] This page is a plain-language template and has not been reviewed by a legal practitioner.

1. Who you are buying from

These terms apply to every order placed with PrintStudio Company Ltd, trading as Printstudio, of GoDown No 25, Vishva Business Park, Mombasa Road, Nairobi.

2. Prices and VAT

Prices shown on product pages are printing prices in Kenya Shillings and exclude VAT. VAT at 16% and the delivery fee for your chosen zone are added at checkout and shown as separate lines before you pay. Prices can change without notice, but the price you paid at checkout is the price of your order.

3. Placing an order

Adding items to the cart is not an order. Your order is placed when you pay, and accepted when we confirm it. We may decline an order where the artwork infringes someone else's rights, where the material or quantity is not available, or where a price was listed in error.

4. Artwork and proofs

You are responsible for the artwork you send and for confirming that you have the right to print it. We check files for print suitability and send a proof for approval on custom jobs. Production starts only after you approve the proof. Once you approve a proof, spelling, layout and colour on the proof are taken as correct.

5. Colour

Screens and printed material show colour differently. Small variation between the proof on your screen and the printed job, and between separate print runs, is normal and is not a defect.

6. Payment

Orders are paid with M-Pesa through our payment provider before production. Approved corporate accounts may pay on agreed terms.

7. Production and delivery times

Production times shown on product pages run from proof approval and payment. Delivery times depend on the zone you choose. We give honest timelines but cannot be held liable for delays caused by couriers, weather or events outside our control.

8. Risk and ownership

Risk passes to you on collection or on delivery to the address you gave. Goods remain our property until paid for in full.

9. Cancellations

You may cancel before production begins. Custom printed goods cannot be cancelled once printing has started, because the materials are already committed.

10. Faults and reprints

Our reprint guarantee is set out in the refund and reprint policy.

11. Liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost business.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya and disputes are subject to the Kenyan courts.
