Jar and tin lids are often the first thing a buyer sees, so a neat lid label matters as much as the side wrap. Small producers use them to add a batch date, flavour name or a brand seal that looks professional at a glance.

Round or rectangular

Round labels sit naturally on lids and can double as seals over the cap. Rectangular labels wrap the body and carry the longer text, such as ingredients and net weight.

Practical notes

Oily or greasy jars need a clean surface before you apply, or the label creeps. Kraft gives an artisan feel, while white PP tolerates sticky hands and condensation better.
