Materials that greet delegates

Registration is the first experience. Neat badges and clear programmes set the tone and help people find sessions.

Badges

A badge with a lanyard carries the delegate's name, organisation and role. Print names in large type so they are readable from a metre or two. Use colour bands to mark speakers, sponsors and delegates.

Programmes

An A6 programme is a pocket-sized schedule. A5 gives room for speaker profiles and maps. Include session times, rooms, breaks and contact numbers.

Data and accuracy

Send delegate names in a spreadsheet and check spellings carefully. Late registrations are common, so print blank badges and keep a small number for handwritten additions.

Timing

Finalise the programme early. Changes after printing require inserts, which can look untidy.
